Rowan Tree - March

This is a very well known song in Scotland.
As a tune it is often played when bands meet each other ('massed bands') and is part of the standard repertoire that every piper is expected to know. The order of the massed band set is Scotland the Brave, Rowan Tree, Bonnie Gallowa'.

There are several versions, but as a song, the gracings should ideally be kept light. This is what Lindsay Davidson actually plays and is not 'dumbed down'.

This tune has several midi files to help you practice..
In time these will be replaced by videos to play along with.
