Highland Laddie is known as the 'Salute to the Chieftain' and is traditionally played at competitions by all the bands that compete, at the end of the day, during the prize giving ceremony. As such it is vital that all beginners learn this tune (except it isn't super easy...).
As everyone learns this tune, there are many versions, but they mostly agree on the big things.
