This tune was composed in commemoration of a person whose ashes were spread on Drummond Island, Lake Huron, requested by Shannon Fyfe.

The theme was later used to provide material for a large orchestral piece composed by Lindsay Davidson to celebrate Marie Curie Cancer Care's 50th anniverary, commissioned by Edinburgh Airport, and premiered by the Krakow Philharmonic in 1998, followed by the UK premiere given in Edinburgh by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
